Free stuff for kids to do this weekend

Here's some free stuff for kids to do this weekend:

  • The Home Depot Kids Workshop: these are free how-to workshops designed for kids ages 5-12, offered on the first Saturday of each month at Home Depot stores from 9am until 12 noon. This Saturday's project is a Picket Fence Planter.
  • Lowe's Build and Grow Kid's Clinic: each weekly clinic takes place Saturday's at 10am and offers kids the opportunity to build a free wooden project. Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project. This week's project will be a School House.
  • Michael's: a free Make-it Take-it Mother's Day Bead event will be offered on Saturday, May 1, from 1pm until 3pm.
  • Free Comic Book Day: this annual event takes place this Saturday. Check to see what local stores in your area are participating.
