Free Tax Filing and Tax Help Options

If your looking for free tax filing options, check out the huge list of Free File sources provided by none other than the good 'ol Internal Revenue Service at IRS.gov.

Learn more about free e-file options for your federal taxes on the Free File web page.

Another source I found is MyFreeTaxes.com, sponsored by Walmart. This offers some options for filing both state and federal taxes for free online using software provided by H&R Block. There's even help finding free local tax help centers where you have the option of filing your taxes in person.

More local tax help may be offered at your local library or community centers, so check around.

For those in Seattle, see Free Tax Help at Seattle Public Library for a schedule of times and branch locations offering assistance.

The free tax help and free file options won't work for everyone, but they are great for those who can use them.

Happy Tax Filing!
